Ragtime Summer Tea Dance

June 28,th 2015, 1:00 pm
Chelmsford, Massachusetts
Sponsored by The Commonwealth Vintage Dancers

Registration Details

This summer we are offering an exciting chance to learn the dances of the 1910s – an era when Ragtime music was the rage, and Vernon and Irene Castle took the dancing world by storm. We’ll dance the One Step and its many variations, the early Tango, the Hesitation Waltz, and New England Contra Dances. If you want to dance like your favorite characters on Downton Abbey, or if you ever wondered what they were dancing on the Titanic, this is your chance to learn the popular dances of that era.
