Dances from Louisa May Alcott, Author

and Activist

Woburn Public Library

Monday March 23, 2026

Louisa May Alcott wrote about dancing in her short stories and in novels from Little Women to Old Fashioned Girl to Rose in Bloom. Barbara Menard Pugliese will talk about how Alcott’s dance scenes give insight into her life and committment to “reforms of all kinds.” Then, Barbara and Antonia Pugliese will teach some of the dances! Beginners welcome, no partner necessary.

This event is free but you must register on the Woburn Public Library’s website, HERE.

We are deeply appreciative of libraries. Whether you can attend this event or not, please check out your own local public library and support them!
