Immerse yourself in history as we dance the lively country dances of the revolutionaries! Join the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers for a ball in 1776 style. Enjoy marvelous period music played live and learn historically accurate dancing in the iconic 1742 Great Hall of Fanuiel Hall. What better place to celebrate 250 years of American spirit than in the heart of Boston!
Please wear clothing of the 1770s or modern formal wear. All dances will be taught and are highly participatory. The historic venue does not allow food or drink to be brought in – there will be no refreshments served, but there will be bottled water available outside of the ballroom.
For those who do not wish to dance, or anyone who would like to take a break, there is a glorious gallery above the hall where you can chat with friends or watch the fun below. Please note that the gallery is not ADA-accessible.
