ITCKETS NOW ON SALE! Join us for an immersive evening in the mid-19th century as an exclusive member of Victoria and Albert's Royal Court!

This event is for three dance classes (10/1, 10/8, 10/15) offered as part of the Royal Court package for the Victoria and Albert Ball (tiny.cc/vnaball).

For this event, we are offering a unique chance to be immersed in the 19th century! Royal Court tickets provide:

-three dance classes in advance of the ball
-announced entrance at the ball by our liveried master of ceremonies
-a court sash and Royal Order medal to wear for the evening and take home as a souvenir from the event
-the opportunity to perform a quadrille at the ball (learned in advance)

Royal Court ticket holders will attend three classes in advance of the ball on October 1, 8, 15 at our studio in Waltham, MA. During these classes, courtiers will learn some basic ballroom dancing. They will also learn and rehearse a complete quadrille with the support of dancers from CVD. At the ball, courtiers will perform the quadrille they have practiced to earn a Royal Order. Being a courtier is supposed to be fun. We hope that our courtiers will look forward to performing at the ball. If a courtier chooses to forgo the performance for any reason we will provide a substitute to dance in their place.

If you have questions about your Royal Court ticket, reach out to us at query@vintagedancers.org.

TICKETS NOW ON SALE! Join CVD in recreating a royal ball from Victoria and Albert's happy years together. Step into the mid-19th century for an evening of elegant dancing, delightful music, and delicious refreshments fit for a Queen!

Music will be provided by the Ad-Hoc Waltz and Quadrille Band, with prompting by Barbara Menard Pugliese

All dancing during the event will be taught, with the exception of the first quadrille of the evening which will be performed by the Royal Court.

We are so excited to invite you to this magical evening!

Evening dress from the years of Victoria and Albert's marriage, 1840-1861, or modern evening dress. A black dress suit is appropriate for men, though a dress military uniform or court dress would be super-extra spiffy. A ball gown from the years 1840-1861 is appropriate for women, and extra jewelry and tiaras would take your ensemble to the next level. If you don't have period clothing, a dark suit for men or floofy long skirt for women will serve you very well.

The annual favorite returns! A not-to-be-missed time travel weekend!

Join us for an immersive weekend in the Regency era in the historic town of Salem, MA. This weekend is a highlight of the season, with the most Regency dance teaching in one place ever offered!

On Saturday, get ready for a day of dance lessons that begin with the basics of Regency dancing (posture, footwork, and figures) and build throughout the morning and afternoon to cover a variety of period dances and techniques. This Regency "boot camp" will have you dancing like Jane Bennet and Mr. Bingley in time for the Saturday evening ball!
On Sunday, spend the morning exploring the minuet, an 18th century dance that carried into the Regency period as the ceremonial first dance of the evening. Then relax in the afternoon with tea and period games.
The weekend concludes with e Grand Ball on Sunday evening at the gorgeous Hamilton Hall, built in 1805. As we've been dancing all weekend, no teaching is required, and it truly feels like stepping back into the Regency era!

Both the Old Town Hall and Hamilton Hall are walking distance from several lovely hotels, making this a perfect weekend getaway.

The band will make sure we keep the dance floor hot, but luckily the air conditioning will help us stay cool while we kick up our heels!

Are you willing to give any clues about the V&A ball? Even just time period? ('cause my sewing schedule is pretty tight so if I "need" a new dress I need to start pondering it now)

Are there any vintage dances held in England? I would love to attend.
